Just had a chat with a lady.
She is brand new to consulting / coaching and was enquiring about Facebook advertising.

Here are the 4 steps you must have complete clarity on BEFORE launching any ad campaign:
1- WHO YOU ARE TARGETING (who will buy your stuff)
Without a clear idea of who you want to attract, you will spend heaps of $$ and get absolutely, positively, no results… you’ll have a horror story about why Facebook advertising doesn’t work….
So, step 1: get clear on who will BUY your stuff

2- UNDERSTAND WHAT YOUR CLIENTS REALLY WANT
I’ll give you an example… I heard it on a webinar this morning… sooo to the point.
A compay was putting thousands of dollars in ad campaigns to promote a dog food product they had… sales weren’t picking up… the CEO couldn’t understand why… until an intern told him that the dogs did not like the food…

3-DECIDE HOW YOU WILL HELP THEM
What are you offering?
A coaching session? A course? A book? A seminar?
What format? DIY – DWY- DFY?

WHAT’S YOUR BIG PROMISE?

4- PACKAGE YOUR SOLUTION
So you’re ready to go when they say: “so… how much is it to work with you? and how does it work?”

The secret to your success in Facebook advertising, as well as in launching an online course or IN BUSINESS IN GENERAL, is to have perfect alignment between your SKILLS, your MARKET (who and their needs) and your OFFER.

It may have sounded a bit direct when I told the lady that Facebook advertising was not right for her at this point… but I reckon you’d agree she’ll save money if she has not selected a niche yet.
