Time to get crackin’ on the creation of my 5th Lecture for Deakin University’s Financial Planning master students. (Unit: Managing the client relationship).
It’s been an interesting exercise to package my knowledge with an “academic / information only” angle…
So different to the commercial and practical mindset I’ve been operating in for the past 20 years, where everything is geared towards producing a winning outcome for clients and businesses.
What remains the same is the Client Centric Approach. That has actually never changed for me over the past 20 years. It makes my heart sing.
As I am preparing the lectures, I have to “swim upstream” and identify all the great authors and researchers I learned from over the past 20 years, to provide the literature references supporting the materials in my lectures… Let me tell you… I’ve read and learned a LOT in the past 20 years!! What an exercise…
Funnily enough, the research is allowing me to solidify my knowledge and get a deeper understanding of some of the concepts I’ve been using for 2 decades. Amazing experience…
